How does RoadEye work?
You can arm your unit by making a free phone call. This
will put a virtual fence around your vehicle, if someone
drives off in your vehicle without your permission, you
will receive a text message back on your mobile phone
saying "RoadEye Alert, your car has moved"
You can then make a call to your RoadEye unit Via your
modem through a telephone line, the unit will receive
positional data from the satellites, which will be displayed
on a detailed map on your PC, (accuracy 2.8m)
How much does it cost me to live track?
You are effectively calling a mobile phone. Prices vary,
but 14p per min is an average.
Do I need to be connected to replay history?
No. Once you have downloaded your journeys, it is stored
on your PC and you can replay without cost.
What happens if I choose to have my RoadEye unit
installed for £99?
Our approved VSIB Engineer will contact you within four
working days to arrange a suitable install date.
Do I get any warranty after purchase?
Yes. 12 months.
What SIM card is in RoadEye?
Vodafone Pay As You Go.
How much are the Text messages from RoadEye?
12p for the first three per day, 9p thereafter.
Are there any other ongoing costs?
No. Only topping up the SIM card inside RoadEye.
How do I top up my SIM card?
By logging on to www.vodafone.co.uk
and following the top up procedure highlighted in the
Quick User Guide. Once online you can top up with Vodafone
scratch cards or register you credit/debit details.
